The Journey

As a child, I was mesmerized by nature and I would imagine outdoor spaces. In 1985, I started to transform Mom and Dad’s backyard in Frankfort, IL. When I was 14, a neighbor discovered me finishing up the project. The next day, that neighbor hired me. I pulled my red wagon up the street to his house – it was full of tools, a sketch pad and dreams.

Later, I studied Botany and Enviromental Biology in graduate school. In 2000, I hired my current staff.

It is a privilege to create landscapes that awaken your senses, inspire your imagination and expand your consciousness of outdoor space.
