The Journey

Welcome to what I love to do. As a child, I was mesmerized by nature, and I would imagine outdoor spaces. In 1985, I started to transform Mom and Dad’s backyard in Frankfort, IL. When I was 14, a neighbor discovered me finishing up the project. The next day, that neighbor hired me. I pulled my red wagon up the street to their house – it was full of tools, a sketch pad, and dreams.

Later, I attended Marmion, studied Botany at Benedictine University and Environmental Biology in graduate school. In the winter, I teach landscape design at a community college.

It is a privilege to create landscapes that awaken your senses, inspire your imagination and expand your consciousness of outdoor space.
