The Journey

As a child I was mesmerized by nature and I would imagine outdoor spaces. In 1985 I started to transform Mom and Dad’s backyard in Frankfort, IL. When I was 14 a neighbor discovered me finishing up the project. So the next day I pulled my red wagon up the street. It was full of tools, a sketch pad, and dreams.

Later I studied Botany and Enviromental Biology in graduate school. Then in 2000 I hired my current staff.

It is a privilege to create landscapes that awaken your senses, inspire your imagination and expand your consciousness of outdoor space.
